The Gothenburg-based band Orochen releases the first single, Teeth of Glass, from their debut album, Anthroposcenic, together with Suicide Records. Available on all digital platforms, March 11, 2022.
Teeth of Glass is a haunting track that clearly showcases the evolution of Orochen’s sound from previous releases Thylacine (Suicide Records), Mechanical Eyes and the S/T debut EP. With its poetic and suggestive lyrics together with the recognizable blend of dark folk and post-rock, Teeth of Glass is a great example of the creative direction set for Anthroposcenic.
Starting off with a tremorous single guitar almost immediately rolling into a massive, bone crushing riff, the opening of Teeth of Glass points out a heavier, darker, and more rock-dyed outfit for the band with plenty of distortion for everyone. The music is filmed and produced by cinematographer Martin Rörberg during the winter of 2022. The idea behind the video is to show the state of city life today, where concrete and industry buildings are the only skyline making steps concurring nature on an everyday basis.
